currently challenging my parents to the limit! I absolutely
refuse to fall asleep, so each night I drag bedtime into about a
two hour ordeal. The fact that I am so stubborn, though, is
going to help me in my next surgery. When is that, you say?
We finally have a date set for my second surgery. It will be
Friday, January 14. Dr. Bove's office called my mommy today.
So, although she thought knowing the date would help her, it has
actually made her more anxious. I'm not sure why, though, I
will be just fine. I'm the strongest boy she knows, she just
doesn't know it! I think we will probably be leaving the
Monday before just to take our time getting out there, and I
will have a couple of days before of tests and stuff. Everyone
has been able to kind of put it aside that I have a serious
condition, but it all becomes real now.
Other than that, I am getting big real fast! I weigh almost 14
pounds, I can hold my head up for a long time, now, I reach for
anything and everything and put it in my mouth. I can almost
hold my bottle by myself, but I drop it a lot. It also kind of
distracts me from eating when I hold my bottle. But I'm
planning on being able to hold my own when I go back to
Michigan to show those Doctors and nurses what a big boy I am!
My Nana and Papa got to go to Hawaii to see Uncle Dave this
week! They went to go watch the Hawkeyes play basketball,
and Uncle Dave flew in to meet them for a day or two. I
haven't heard from anyone, but I bet they had a blast together.
I'm very jealous, I've never even met Uncle Dave...I just got
this way cool over the top rocking-motorcycle (see picture to
see what I'm talking about)! So, I know he must be super duper
cool!
Well, I better get going. Will keep you posted, and Mommy
and Daddy will start doing the website more often once we all
go back to Michigan! Nurse Kris, Dr. Lozier, and
Marykateandashley, I can't wait to see you! Just wait...I am
sooo big, you won't even believe it!!!
