Hi everyone, this is Little Al.  Oh my goodness!!!  I have had so many new things
happen since the last update...where do I start?

First of all, I think my last update gave you the date of the next surgery, Jan.
14th.  Well, a few days after that I had a checkup and Dr. Mooradian said my
leaky tricuspid valve had gotten worse and that I might have to got to surgery
early.  Well, to say the least, this kinda stressed out mom & dad, but Dr. M gave
me some new drugs and I started feeling better.  At my next checkup we found
out that I had stayed the same, which was good, but Dr. M called Dr. Bove just
to see if I could come in early.  Dr. Bove said that as long as I was clinically
doing OK that we would stick to the original date, he has lots of other little
babies that need attention sooner.  I guess I am just too darn strong!  So, we
are planning on leaving on Sunday January 9th and will take a few days to get
there and rest a day before I start having tests and other stuff.  Mom & Dad
have promised me that they will start doing more frequent updates and once we
get back to Michigan there will be daily updates!

The next new thing was pretty darn cool!  We took a long drive, well long for me,
to see Grammy Jo and Grandpa Ed and Big Al and Aunt Marcia for an early
Christmas celebration.  The rest of the Aunts & Uncles were either busy or
sick, so they could not come.  I did however get to unwrap my FIRST Christmas
present, I thought that was the neatest thing ever!!!!  We hung out for awhile at
Grammy Jo's then headed home on another long drive, but I did very well riding
and now mommy & daddy know I should be good for them on our trip back to
Michigan.  Thanks to all my Aunts & Uncles for the cool gifts!

Well, the next new thing to happen to me was...I got a cold this last Monday!  I
know, you're thinking big deal all babies get colds...right?  Well, a cold can be
really bad for me since I don't process oxygen all that well to start with.  And
mom and dad had been so careful and done so well, they felt really bad to get
me this close to my next surgery to only have me get sick now.  Well, guess
what?  Since I am so darn strong, they took me to the Dr. and got me some
amoxicillin, which I absolutely hate, but I got over my cold right away and am
doing much better now.

I think since it is Christmas Eve I will sign off for now, start looking for more
regular updates!  Merry Christmas to ALL!

Go Michigan, represent the Big Ten well in the Rose Bowl, and remember who
helped you get there!  Iowa!
