on us. Our family is slowly but surely coping in our own ways. Alan is talked to
and thought about constantly. One thing that is constant in our house right now
is that we miss our baby boy horribly. He brought so much light and joy to our
house, it's hard to do much at all. The girls are doing very well, surrounded by
their family and friends who love them very much. Ryan and Holly try to stay as
busy as possible. As a result, not much gets done around the house. It's just
hard to be there.
We just want everyone to know how much we appreciate everything. There is no
possible way to thank any of you for all that you've done. The support we have
had is incredible. It's never going to be easy for us, but just the love and
support we keep getting does make it a little easier to survive. For those who
may wonder, we have received over $3000 in donations in honor of Alan. We
have decided that part of that will be going to the PCTU at U of M to be used in
the purchasing of Bereavement Boxes which are sent out to each family who
experiences a death. The other part of this wonderful money will go to Dr. Bove
and his team for further research of HLHS. We are so excited to be able to
donate this money in this way in honor of our little boy. Thank you so much for
giving us this opportunity. Our plan as of now is to travel to Michigan as a family
around the date of Alan's first birthday and donate the money in person. This,
we hope, will be a bit of a closure for us as well as some therapy.
We still check our guestbook daily, so please don't stop sending messages...we
miss them! Don't be afraid to email, call, or stop by. We absolutely love to talk
about Bubby, and are willing any time!!
