Hi Everyone!!  WE ARE HOME!!  You have absolutely no idea how
good it feels to be here.  We are very sleep deprived, but it's
worth it because we are home!

We took two days getting here, and Little Al did pretty well.  He
slept most of the way, and if he wasn't sleeping, he was spitting
up!  And now he's working on adjusting to his new surroundings.  It
must be pretty weird after being in the hospital with people
bugging you 24/7 to come to a home with your own room, and a
quiet house, and the only people bugging you are friends and family
cuddling and taking care of you.

So, we came home, and started walking to the door, and noticed
that we now live in the Miller State Park!  My (Holly) dad had
basically re-landscaped our yard.  We now have new mulch, and
flowers planted around the entire house.  It looks so incredibly
beautiful!  It was such a nice thing to come home to.  And, then
to top it all off, when we walked IN the house, my mom had
cleaned the whole thing and done dishes and laundry.  WOW!  So,
then we come and dropped all our stuff all over the house, and it's
a mess again.  But, my goal is to slowly unpack and it will be clean
again soon.

This morning a home nurse came for a visit.  She will be coming
once or twice a week for awhile to make sure I'm doing OK.  I
really like that idea, especially with Ryan going back to work on
Monday.

So, to end this entry, we just want certain people to know how
much we appreciate them.  JoElla and Ed, Erin and Megan, Kim
and Carlton, and Sasha for coming to Ann Arbor with us.  Their
support got us through the two hardest weeks we've ever had to
live through.  Michelle for coming to the house and looking after
stuff, and Ashley, Scot, and Erin for joining her when they did.
Art and Kirs, Rachelle and Noah for making the long trip to
Michigan just to see us for a weekend.  Jeff for all the stuff he
did around the house, and the general support we felt from him.
We were told that he strutted around the day of the birth like
Little Al was his own!  Art for helping to mow and coming by every
once in awhile.  Nurse Kris for how awesome she is.  Kris - I hope
you have treated yourself and a guest for a good meal OUT!
marycateandashley for being an awesome "nurse in training".  We
loved when we would come to the hospital and you would be there!
You always made us smile.  Dr. Lozier, it was nice to have a
connection to home.  We really appreciated that you checked in
with us every once in awhile.  We really would be excited if you
moved back here and helped with Little Al's care.  Dr. Mooradian
for referring us to the best place in the country.  We can't wait
for you to care for our little boy!  Louise and Laura for helping
with care after surgery and to get us discharged!  Judy, Cindy,
Lara, Kristen, Vladis, Dan, and the rest of the wonderful crew at
Residence Inn, Ann Arbor.  You guys are incredible!  We will
recommend you to anyone coming to Ann Arbor, and we will see you
again in four or so months. And last but not least, Dr. Bove....how
can we thank someone enough who saved our sons life?  To have a
job like he does is beyond our imagination.  He saves babies every
day of his life, and we really hope he knows how much he is
appreciated.

I realize that there are countless others who helped us and Little
Al, but it would take me all night to mention, and I AM TIRED!
Oh yeah, and I probably have to pump or something...anyway, you
know who you are!

Much love,
Holly, Ryan and Little Al

U of M rocks!!
