Not a whole lot of new news to report since the last time,
but I wanted to keep our loyal visitors up to date...
First off, I want to give Uncle Dave a "BIG OLE THANKS"
for the shirt he sent me that will allow me to show off
Bubby this summer! Thank you, Dave!!!! Also, I need to
apologize to him for not getting these photos out here
sooner, I'm sure he was wondering if I had gotten the
shirt. Sorry, Dave!!!
The girls took a trip to the Texas Gulf with their mother
during spring break. They had a great time and got back
home on Easter Sunday. Maybe someday they will put
something on their pages about it.
Holly's birthday was April 4th and we were able to have
dinner with the girls and her parents the night before.
Then I took her out for dinner the night of her birthday, we
will be 'officially' celebrating it on April 9th, at which time
we will 'officially' celebrate my birthday also. In case you
were wondering, my birthday is April 19th...
Last night we went to our second meeting of
Compassionate Friends, it is a group of parents and
siblings that have lost someone that meets once a month.
It is a good time for us to hear of others who are going
through the same type of situation. We both enjoy it and
plan on attending each month, Holly's parents are even
attending with us!
We still miss our little Bubby each day, I'm not sure we
can say that the hurting is going away at all, but we find
each day maybe just a little easier to get through. I talk
to Bubby every day, and sometimes he will even talk to
me. I know, it sounds like I'm losing it, but it is
something I never would have believed myself, until it
happened to me. It is a reassuring feeling that I will get
to see my son again someday and I know he is doing
great where he is. He has a lot of friends and family
surrounding him and he is having lots of fun!!!
Well, I better go now, I promise we will try to put our
more frequent updates!
