Hi everyone! I finally decided to
start writing in my own page! Not
much happening with me that you
can't find on Little Al's page.
Just got back from the annual
fishing trip to Canada. Not only was
I the only woman there, I'm the first
woman to go on THIS trip. I had so
much fun! We had almost perfect
weather, and great fishing! The
group that went were tons of fun! It
did me a lot of good to get out of
here and not have a phone or TV!
Very relaxing. After we were done
fishing, we met up with Jeff and
Jane for our "motel canoe trip". We
decided after we met up with them
that the forecast was not conducive
for canoing! It was supposed to be
cold and rain every day! So, we just
hung out in Ely, Minnesota, fished
one day, and ate constantly! We
had a very fun and relaxing time.

It's nice for us at this point in our lives to spend time with people who time and time
again prove themselves as true friends! I think I can speak for all four of us that we
had one of the best vacations ever!
My big news of the month is that Hamilton's is opening a new location on Westown
Parkway in West Des Moines, and I get the challenge of going out there and
managing the building. The goal right now is to have it open for business by July 15.
It is going to be a funeral home like no one has ever seen. When you walk in, you
won't even know you're in a funeral home! It is even going to have a memorial gift
shop that will be open to the public! So, by mid-July stop by and see me! I would be
more than happy to give anyone a tour of this gorgeous facility!
Nothing else really is going on with me. Just plugging away, taking my life day by
day. Some days are getting better. But most of the time I just feel like I have a huge
hole in my life! We've been camping on weekends with the girls, which helps to keep
my mind occupied!
To end, I just want to say hi to my new friend Tracy. She is in our boat, and somehow
we connected! Also hi to Little Corbin who I like to think Little Al brought home from
the U of M without his expected surgery! Also hi to Rachel and family, Nurse Kris,
and of course marycateandashley!!!
