Day 9 of our 2005 Trip!
Hi all!  Sorry for the delay in updating, but we haven't been able to update because we
haven't been able to have internet connection or a phone where we've been.  I'll fill you in
on what we have been doing, but tune in later and we'll go into detail!  We've been world
travelers, that is for sure!  We spent one night in Mackinaw City where we ate at a great
italian place and went miniature golfing.  Then the next day was spent on Mackinac Island.
It was pretty cool, and I know a certain Nana and Papa who would love it there!  After that
we started our trek into the Canadian wilderness!  In Wawa Canada we stayed in a Chalet in
the middle of nowhere.  Next was Rossport where we stayed in a really neat little Inn, the
Rossport Inn.  It was right on the bay, and it was a little Inn that had 6 rooms, and 10 or so
cabins.  We stayed in the Inn, and had a wonderful homemade meal there.  Next we were
off to Grand Portage, Minnesota where we stayed at the Grand Portage Casino, then to Ely
where the girls got to see where we go canoeing from.  There we saw the Dorothy Molter
museum (the Root Beer Lady), and the International Wolf Museum. Oh yeah!  And we had a
great dinner at the Ely Steakhouse where we called Jeff and Jane so they could be jealous!
And finally today, we ended our journey at the Mall of America, where we celebrated
Megan's 11th Birthday at the Rainforest Cafe!  The three girls had fun shopping while Dad
followed us around.  We hit a few stores while we waited for our table, and then had a
wonderful birthday dinner (Megan got to pick).  The only downfall on the whole day was
that we were expecting to play Miniature golf when we got to the mall, and they have
closed the course!  So, that was kind of a bummer for the girls.  Tomorrow we will be
looking for miniature golf courses on the way home.
That is about it!  We've had a great vacation just hanging out and relaxing and thinking
about Bubby!  After all, this vacation was for him!
We will update in the next couple of days and go into detail the last few days and put
pictures on!  We will be home to get back into the real world tomorrow!
